COUNTRY HAM GIVEAWAY

Mike Saunders, of Saunder's Meat Packing, is one of the meat processors for the NC-03 Chapter of FHFH. Mike has processed the most deer for this chapter since it started up in Feb. 2007. Mike being the Christian man he is, not only wanted help with processing, but has stepped up to help with our fundraising as well. Mike donated a 50lb. country ham to be given away and proceeds to go to the DCFHFH. On 12/12/08 (Mike's B-day) he drew a ticket out of a jar labeled "DCFHFH Country Ham Giveaway" and a winner was selected. The total raised from this was $261.00 to help with processing fees. The winner was Stanley Talbert of Star, NC. Mr. Talbert came by later that day to pick up the ham which Mike had sliced for him already and was wished a Merry Christmas and thanked him on behalf of DCFHFH.

I want to share with you that earlier this year Mike Saunders had open heart surgery and a man made valve replacement to keep him alive. Mike was put on our prayer chain at FHFH. Mike is now live and well going about his work and serving our Lord, Jesus Christ. I want to thank all who donated a dollar for the fundraiser tickets and God bless Mike Saunders.

In Christ,

Henry Morris NC-03
